Creating a strong set of values – and acting on them

Our values make us who we are - and who we want to be. Whether you’re an agency, a well-established brand or are just starting out, values shape the decisions we take, they inspire us and guide our relationships with each other.

As the world changes around us, customers are increasingly seeking out brands with shared values – whose purpose, personality, beliefs and actions reflect their own. Brands need to put themselves in the shoes of the shopper more than ever before, to understand how customers are living and feeling in the post COVID world, as well as reflecting a sense of responsibility and community. Their brand values are at the heart of this - the foundations, if you like, and we’ve been working with a variety of clients to define, redefine and make sure that their values are reflected in customer and colleague communications.   

As an agency, we also practice what we preach and we’ve taken a little time during lockdown to look at our own values – who we are, who we want to be and what that says about us. Our values are at the heart of everything we do:

Be your true self

We want everyone to feel comfortable in our company. At Tickety Boo we’re always our real selves and there are no egos. We’re open, honest and genuine and that’s how we bring out the best in each other and the people we work with.

Be curious

We’re always asking questions and thinking of new ways to make things better - to help our clients and our people. We’re firm believers in the phrase ‘keep exploring’ and we’re not afraid to make a mistake - learning makes you stronger.

Be brave

When everyone’s going the same way, it can be hard not to follow the crowd but if we only do what everyone else is doing, the most we can ever achieve is average. If we’re brave, we’ll discover something different, surprising and exciting. At Tickety Boo, we make it safe to be a pioneer.

Be flexible

Whether it’s working remotely or differently, we trust each other rather than manage each other and we have the self-discipline to thrive on flexibility. When it comes to helping our clients, we’re adaptable and happy to change things up to get the best result.

Be understanding

You can still be understanding and be edgy... be understanding and be challenging. We always put ourselves in the other people’s shoes and take the time to make sure the vision and the detail is understood.

Be there

We’re good listeners and we like to muck in. We’re always there for our clients and our team and by supporting each other, we build strong relationships that last.
