GIVING OWN BRAND PACKAGING A FRESH, BRIGHT & BOLD MAKEOVER
For health & beauty retailer, Superdrug, we were asked to redesign their current own-brand male and female deodorant packaging to give greater standout and appeal on shelf. We couldn’t wait to get started.

We set to work defining an approach for both of the collections. We wanted to really hero the science to give the product a sense of trust and credibility with the customer. With a well-stocked market of competitor offerings, we knew it was equally important to create disruption on shelf through colour and design. While we wanted the designs to feel current and modern, they also needed to have longevity as the fragrances themselves aren’t trend led or temporary. Rather than simply list attributes we created lock-ups for key claims so benefits can be easily identified.
Our women’s look is clean and modern, with a sense of playfulness and character. Bold, colourful geometric shapes are paired with smart iconography to create a very contemporary feel. Although merchandised separately, the men’s variants share the same graphical language. Here we’ve utilised daring, colourful geometric shapes that intersect with the more masculine, dark base colour.
