Everything always stems from the brand purpose, so we helped define it along with a fresh brand personality and tone of voice. Creating a distinctive way of communicating was absolutely key – thinking with passion and writing with warmth to fire up the senses of everyone in store. We wanted to create authentic foodie conversations with customers and share delicious details of exceptional food and drink to put the wow into each communication and to make it personal, by sharing the unique stories of producers and provenance.
Our new brand look and feel focused on making food the hero, as we created beautiful illustrations which feel like works of art. We designed every element, from in-store POS to new team member uniforms, re-looked at price communication and brought the passion to every department from Deli to Wine to Bakery... and the outcome? A premium, recognisable and authentic brand to rival any upscale retailer across the globe. Now that’s something to be passionate about and proud of!
